Just In: Poetic AW21 Lighting From Louis Poulsen

Every good idea starts with a question. For Danish master, Poul Henningsen, he began by asking what it would mean to live in the light.

It took him a long time to satisfy this curiosity. But when he did, the whole landscape of Nordic design shifted.

Today, they are known as the PH collection. A series of nostalgic lamps that use an innovative shade-system to make every hour of the day feel golden.

Patera is the crowning jewel of the Louis Poulsen collection: a modern, multi-faceted pendant that uses a Fibonacci style structure to deliver breathtaking light effects.

This month, the Danish lighting atelier has added an oval version — specifically designed for use in homes with standard ceiling heights. Beautiful from every angle, it’s hand-braided surface promises to invite a sense of splendour into even the most petite of properties this autumn.

Go Alfresco

With Outdoor Lighting

The way we see it, the perfect alfresco space should be two things. Abundant in all things lush and leafy. And cosy enough to be enjoyed all year round.

One often overlooked component in this nomadic mission is lighting — a tool that becomes all the more important as the nights draw in.

If you’ve made a pledge to spend more time outdoors this year, then do take a look at Louis Poulsen’s new Bysted collection — a series of stoic little sentinels that promise to bring any alfresco setting to light and life.
