About Charlotte Lancelot
Charlotte Lancelot was born in Brussels in 1980 and studied at La Cambre where she qualified in Industrial Design in 2003. She has taken part in numerous trade fairs and national exhibitions, mainly in the context of the 100% designed in Brussels selection. She has collaborated with companies such as Ligne Roset, and GAN rugs. Her work is characterised by emotional attachment to the objects around her. Ecology, aesthetics, modernisation of old techniques and improvements to living conditions are her main concerns.
The talented sister of Spanish design titans Gandia Blasco, GAN expands upon its founders passion for textiles specialising in handmade rugs made from natural fibres. After combing the globe for the finest rug-making tradition, GAN settled in India where all of their luxurious rugs are lovingly crafted by craftsmen and women with an incredible heritage. Piece by intricate piece, these rugs tell the colourful story of Eastern aestheticism, reintroducing vibrant style back into the modern home.
