Initially collaborating with Afra and Tobias Scarpa for several collections in the 70s, then overseen by industry icon Antonio Citterio as Art Director since 1995, Maxalto is the home of impeccably crafted elegance and pureness of form.
Lines? They’re flowing, smooth and with a sprinkling of adventure. Forms? Creative but functional, designed thoughtfully for the human body and its evolving needs with beauty in mind. Trends? No thank you. Here it’s about looking forward; becoming a dear friend rather than aging. Cultivating a (so-far) five-decade long legacy of refinement and timelessness, the revered Milanese architect and designer is defined by his minimalist aesthetic and outstanding quality. Serving as Maxalto’s Creative Director since the early 1990s, Antonio Citterio’s performance-meets-comfort-meets-poise aesthetic has garnered the brand a reputation for creating spaces filled with quiet splendour, that exude contemporary cool as well as classic, age-less grace, and that above all – is wonderfully, joyfully comfortable, liveable and flexible.
