Product Description

Marcel Breuer married traditional craftsmanship with industrial methods and materials to help make tubular steel furniture a modern institution. In the Cesca collection, this resulted in a timeless series of cantilevered chairs, perfectly poised for flexibility and comfort.

Materials & Finishes

Fully Upholstered Chairs: Upholstery applied on urethane foam over moulded plywood seat support shell and stamped steel back support shell.
Frame: 25mm diameter round steel tube with chrome-plated finish.
Glides: Opaque plastic glides shipped with each chair for optional on-site insertion to use on hard floors.
Note: The KnollStudio logo and the signature of Marcel Breuer are stamped into the base of every Cesca chair.
Note: This chair can not be sold or shipped to Germany.

Delivery and Returns

FURNITURE SMALL DELIVERY

Production time for this item is 6-8 weeks.

Our small furniture delivery service offers delivery right to your front door (if the destination is an apartment, flat or complex, the order will be delivered inside the entrance to the building) for £45.00.

Our preferred courier service will be used for most smaller orders and you can rest assured that your parcel will be trackable at every stage.

The typical delivery window is 3-5 working days from the time your items arrive at our warehouse (please note that many of our products have lead times associated with them which can be clearly seen on the product page).

All items purchased that are in stock will be sent out to you within 1 to 2 working days. All orders placed after 2pm (GMT) for in-stock items will be processed the next working day.

If you have ordered multiple items, we will send these out to you in one delivery as soon as they all arrive at the warehouse and they have been quality checked.

*Small furniture deliveries do not include assembly or unpacking.

Place and pay for your order online and we’ll deliver it to our main showroom in Hatch End ready for your collection.

We’ll contact you when your order is available; for in stock items this is within 5 days of your order date, items not held in stock will be within 5 working days of arrival at our warehouse (see product page for indicative lead times).

Remember to bring your confirmation email with you as proof of purchase.

Protégé of Bauhau founder Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer was one of the school’s most famous student as he embodied many of its distinctive concepts. He designed his tubular-steel furniture collection, which is considered as functional, simple and contemporary.

During his lifetime his attention also focused towards architecture, which he taught at the Harvard School of Design. Breuer was claimed as the architect who first was the sole of an exhibit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
