The Capitol Complex Collection opens up for a new generation the stunning designs of the Capitol Complex in Chandigarh, a utopian Indian city first designed by Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret in 1951. The Civil Bench is a versatile design that was originally conceived for the lodgings of the city's Legislative Assembly. Today it can be used as the perfect partner for the Capitol Complex Dining Table or as a versatile extra seating option for contemporary living rooms.
Materials & Finishes
This iconic bench features an Indian cane seat and a solid wood frame available in natural oak, natural teak or black stained oak.
The optional cushions can be bought as individual 45 x 45 cm cushions or as a longer W 133 x D 45 cushion. Available in the fabrics of the collection — for more options, please contact the showroom.

Production time for this item is 6-8 weeks.
Our small furniture delivery service offers delivery right to your front door (if the destination is an apartment, flat or complex, the order will be delivered inside the entrance to the building) for £55.00.
Our preferred courier service will be used for most smaller orders and you can rest assured that your parcel will be trackable at every stage.
The typical delivery window is 3-5 working days from the time your items arrive at our warehouse (please note that many of our products have lead times associated with them which can be clearly seen on the product page).
All items purchased that are in stock will be sent out to you within 1 to 2 working days. All orders placed after 2pm (GMT) for in-stock items will be processed the next working day.
If you have ordered multiple items, we will send these out to you in one delivery as soon as they all arrive at the warehouse and they have been quality checked.
*Small furniture deliveries do not include assembly or unpacking.

Our warehouse located in St Albans will contact you when your order is available; for in stock items this is within 5 days of your order date, items not held in stock will be within 5 working days of arrival at our warehouse (see product page for indicative lead times).
