The Maralunga series by Vico Magistretti for Cassina was designed in 1973 and quickly became a design classic that has inspired generations of designers and products. The very first of it’s kind, Maralunga introduced the idea of an adjustable height headrest, introducing a new level of cosiness into contemporary design. The design was made possible by embedding a bicycle chain within the generous foam cushions, imbuing a once static object with movement and life.
