The Super-Elliptical Table is where architecture and design collide. The visually light legs and the continuously curving top were first designed by Piet Hein, Bruno Matthson and Arne Jacobsen in 1968, and originally inspired by Hein's innovative solution for one of Stockholm's busiest roundabouts. Its generous oval silhouette increases the number of people that can be seated at any given time, making it an ideal solution for homes in which every square inch counts.
Materials & Finishes
The tabletop consists of a 22 mm laminated chipboard and is available in two finishes: laminate and walnut veneer. The laminate is available in a variety of colours. All the laminated tabletops come with a matt, polished aluminium edge, while the veneer version comes with a veneer edge.
The Fenix laminate is extraordinarily resistant to scratches and its matte surface adopts the light rather than reflecting it. It is very easily cleaned, and does not reveal any fingerprints. It is as beautiful as it is practical. The span legs are available in polished chrome or a selection of powder-coated metal finishes.
