About Marcel Breuer
Protégé of Bauhau founder Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer was one of the school’s most famous student as he embodied many of its distinctive concepts. He designed his tubular-steel furniture collection, which is considered as functional, simple and contemporary.
During his lifetime his attention also focused towards architecture, which he taught at the Harvard School of Design. Breuer was claimed as the architect who first was the sole of an exhibit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
