Description
The Barcelona Relax chair is a perfect design and strong visual statement. It has become the ultimate and timeless image of elegance and comfort. A careful study of the potential for even softer upholstery and a new collection of “full grain” leathers, softer to the touch and capable of ageing gracefully have contributed to give a greater residential feel to what remains the undisputed ‘monument’ of the international history of design.

Frame : Chrome steel hand-ground and hand-buffed to mirror finish. Upholstery straps attached with aluminium rivets. For the upholstery in Venezia leather the straps are dyed to match the same cushion upholstery colour.
Upholstery : 40 individual panels are cut hand-welted and hand-tufted with leather and buttons produced from a single cowhide. Cushions are variable density foam covered with polyester fiberfills to enhance comfort and upholstered with top quality leather. Foam meets BS 5852 The seat and the back are connected with a removable pin, the seat is secured to the structure with straps.
Authenticity
The Knoll logo and signature of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe are stamped into the leg.
