Product Description
Makura is a highly contemporary bed designed by Piero Lissoni for the innovative Italian brand, Porro. Its sinuous wrapping headboard immediately lends a visual sense of comfort and can be upholstered in a variety of luxury fabrics, leathers or eco-leathers.
Materials & Finishes
The Makura Bed is available in the fabrics of the Porro collection as well as Derby, Rancho and Eco Leathers. The padding is expanded polyurethane with differentiated areas and small feather cushions.

Most furniture and large items are delivered by our two-man Furniture Delivery service.
Items held in stock are typically delivered in 8-10 working days, if the delivery address is within the M25. Outside the M25, delivery may take up to 21 working days.
For items with production times, our logistics team will contact you to arrange a suitable time for delivery once we have received the items into our warehouse.

Place and pay for your order online and we’ll deliver it to our main showroom in Hatch End ready for your collection.
We’ll contact you when your order is available; for in stock items this is within 5 days of your order date, items not held in stock will be within 5 working days of arrival at our warehouse (see product page for indicative lead times).
Remember to bring your confirmation email with you as proof of purchase.

Piero Lissoni is an architect, art director & designer born in 1956, together with Nicoletta Canesi, Piero Lissoni opened the studio Lissoni Associati in 1986. He began collaborating as designer and Art Director with some of the best Italian and international furniture manufacturers.
The work of the studio embraces architecture, graphics and industrial design, with projects ranging from furniture, accessories, kitchens, bathroom and lighting fixtures to corporate identity, advertising, catalogues and packaging. Interior design projects include hotels, showrooms, trade stands, private houses, shops and yachts. The studio currently employs over 70 people, comprising architects, designers and graphic designers and creates solutions for well-established brands such as Cappellini, Cassina, Flos, Fritz Hansen, Glas Italia, Kartell, Knoll, Poltrona Frau and Thonet.
Porro was founded over ninety years ago in the traditional Italian birthplace of design, Brianza. Established by brothers Giulio and Stefano Porro, their first workshop was dedicated to the production of old-fashioned furniture for the newborn Milanese bourgeoisie.
Porro has easily become one of the most successful furniture design brands thanks to its dedication to sticking to their design ethos. Porro specialise in hand-made design with a keen eye for out-of-the-ordinary interpretations of wood.
