Founded in 1885 by Ulrich Schaerer (note the ‘U’ and ‘S’), a metalworker and locksmith, in the historic Swiss town of Munsingen (there’s the ‘M’), USM are something of a triple threat: functional, flexible and fashionable.

Having seen a monumental uptick thanks to the new generation of online design aficionados, their iconic 'Haller' system (so named after the designer of their factory) has been the centre of multiple variations and viral collaborations in recent years.
