Product Description
In 1966, the Warren Platner collection seamlessly captured the curved and gentle shapes that were beginning to infiltrate the modern design world. Ahead of its time both aesthetically and in terms of manufacturing processes; each piece in this stunning range is created by welding steel rods to a circular frame, thus enabling the eye-catching base to simultaneously serve as both a structure and an ornament.
Materials & Finishes
Top in 9 mm tempered glass (clear or bronze) or an array of marbles. Base constructed of vertical steel rods welded to circular horizontal and edge-framing rods. Base in polished nickel. Clear plastic extrusion ring on bottom of the base for a smooth bottom surface.

Place and pay for your order online and we’ll deliver it to our main showroom in Hatch End ready for your collection.
We’ll contact you when your order is available; for in stock items this is within 5 days of your order date, items not held in stock will be within 5 working days of arrival at our warehouse (see product page for indicative lead times).

Warren Platner studied at the faculty of Architecture at Cornell University. His career involved working with famous designers such as Raymond Loewy, Eero Saarinen, and I.M.Pei (Ieoh Ming Pei). He committed himself in the conception of steel wire furniture, focusing also on the methods and tooling to produce his designs.
Famous among his residential and commercial projects are the Georg Jensen Design Centre and the Windows on the World restaurant, which featured in the World Trade Centre.
Knoll believes in creating powerful interiors that resonate creativity and comfort.
