&Tradition

&Tradition is one of the newer brands in our Nordic catalogue. First established in 2010, they’ve made waves for their plush sofas and sculpted seating, whose soft curves recall the poetry of the great Scandi designers. Such a unique and nostalgic collection is made possible by searing collaborations with studios such as Space Copenhagen and Andersson Voll, each of which is looking to rewrite the rules of Danish modernism. Verpan

Verpan, meanwhile, plays home to the archives of Verner Panton, a titan of Danish design who continues to surprise and delight post-humously. This year, the Creative Department, in collaboration with the Panton family, unveiled a selection of never-been-seen lighting designs alongside new brass options for the classic Series 430 collection. Streamlined and timeless, they have a contemporary edge that sets them apart from other Nordic brands.

Muuto

Muuto injects a certain playfulness into traditional Scandi style. Colourful and creative, their designs are petite and practical — ideal for urban living. This season’s collection takes on a new sculptural expression, with curvilinear designs such as the Oslo Side Chair and Leaf Floor Lamp leading the fore.

Menu

Meanwhile, at Menu, Hygge is being reimagined with new luxurious significance. Through an indulgent mix of sweeping loungers and barely-there lighting, they deliver cocooning interiors that are light, poetic and comfortable. The mission? To thrill the senses while delivering the same sense of tranquillity associated with Scandinavian styles. Standouts from the new collection include the new Tearoom Lounge Chair and the Bauhaus-esque Afternoon Plus series.

Fritz Hansen

Fritz Hansen is perhaps the most familiar name on this list. The new collection, however, is anything but ordinary. Classics like the Ant Deco Dining Chair are enlivened with Aztec style digital printing, bringing a new cultural lens to this iconic design. And yet, it’s the new N02 Recycled Collection that has really turned heads, garnering attention as the first fully recycled polypropylene chair of its kind. Made entirely from recycled plastic waste, it sets a new sustainable high-bar for lovers of contemporary design, while serving up stylish and affordable seating.
