Designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn, the CH24 Wishbone chair remains an iconic masterpiece with a legacy of durability and stability, still in continuous production since 1950. Inspired by the elegance of Danish merchants seated on Ming Dynasty Chairs, Wegner's innovative approach fused the top rails and arms into a seamless, single piece. The distinctive Y-shaped back not only provides remarkable support but also enhances the steam-bent top's stability. Each chair undergoes over 100 steps, with skilled artisans handcrafting the seat using approximately 120 meters of paper cord. This dedication to craftsmanship ensures both durability and longevity.
