Product Information
Description
Each tray in the Collection Chandigarh, produced by Richard Ginori, has a decorative symbol that was designed by Le Corbusier in 1956. Probably the most recognisable and recurring in his architecture, featured on the square tray with rounded corners, is the hand: the eternal symbol of peace. Each acts as a modern hieroglyphic, and were featured prominently on the walls in the Chandigarh complex, the modern city he designed in India which is today a world heritage site.Need a second opinion? Our design experts can assist with everything from swatches to sizing to pricing. -

Price Promise
Our Price Promise
We know that price is important. And while all of our designs follow the recommended retail prices (RRP) from our suppliers, we’re determined never to be bested.
It’s why we decided to introduce our Chaplins Price Promise. A guarantee to try and match the price of a branded product should you find it on sale at another authorised UK retailer. While the offer only applies to new designs (rather than clearance, outlets or ex-display) it’s our way of showing that we don’t just offer the best in service or style, but are committed to competitive pricing, too.
Please click on the button below should you wish to query a price. If a competitor's offer isn't immediately apparent online, we may ask you to supply us with a written quotation from the retailer — just to confirm the details.
And remember, Chaplins newsletter subscribers get an exclusive first order discount when they sign up. All of the details of which you can find in the footer below.
Designer Profile
Le Corbusier
You probably know Le Corbusier for his chairs. The squishy, oversized kind that are penned in by a tubular steel frame. As well as pioneering the idea of “structure as decoration” he also authored entire cities, including the Indian metropolis of Chandigarh. Today, his entire archives (known as the LC collection) are faithfully issued by Cassina: a titan of Made in Italy design that ensures the collections are made to the exacting standards for which Corbusier was renowned.
