Violin is a modern dining chair with an old soul. It seeks to distill with the fewest number of ingredients possible the archetypal Scandi dining chair, without losing the sense of poetry for which designers, GamFratesi, are known. All fine lines and delicate flourishes, its name references the two parallel lines that extend from the backrest to a horizontal bar below the seat, evoking the two strings on a violin. This simple gesture also creates a half backrest which allows the sitter to easily twist around to chat with the person next to them.
