Spring Trends: A New Home Hierarchy
After decades of zooming in on sofa and chairs, the interiors world has become tired of talking about living rooms and bored of decorating dining rooms. Instead, all eyes have turned to those blind spots in the home, the spaces that are often overlooked in favour of the more prominent.
The winds of change are blowing into 2025 and we’re turning our attention to areas that have been generally considered not-so-in-Vogue. We’re talking hallways, landings, studies, bedrooms. Remember those? They’re the places behind all of those doors (they do open, you know). While they’re not as frequently visited as the ‘main’ rooms, every corner of the home should be curated with care to reflect the personality and style of the people within, and these forgotten zones are no different.
In fact, we’re throwing it out there – the likes of bedrooms, including spare bedrooms, studies, and the upstairs walk-through spaces are perhaps even more important than the downstairs areas, because they’re seen by the most important people in the house – those that actually live there (or are lucky enough to come to stay).
Time to shift focus to the spare room – you never know who’ll be booking in next – and invest in a wow-factor, you’re-welcome-any-time bed, elegant layers of lighting that are both calming and cool, bedside tables that tick the practical boxes while inviting appreciation, dressing tables which speak of splendour without even a dusting of make-up, and perhaps a valet stand acting as butler.
It’s the year of the statement mirror, the unexpected bookshelf, the whimsical wall lamp, the how-helpful-to-have-that-there console table. Just think of the feeling you’ll get when someone opens that door and gasps in wonder. Is this a boutique hotel or a home?

A moment to reflect
People like to know they look presentable. Commiting to a quick double take in the mirror for some is a funamental part of leaving the house. So why not have a wall length wonder that matches the style it reflects in the frame. Secure your statement standing mirror.

In 2025, every room is becoming more than just a pass-through. This year we’re ensuring every space feels just as intentional and inviting as the rest of the house. Because home shouldn’t be ever poised for fleeting – they should be designed to serve full-time occupants first.
