Carla Sozzani

For Carla Sozzani, the lines between art and design have always been been pretty blurry. And deliberately so. In 1991, she quit her job at Italian Vogue to open up gallery on the outskirts of Milan. Today, both she and it have a cult following and have overseen the opening of sister galleries in cities as far flung as Paris and Shanghai. An international tastemaker, she has recently teamed up with Fritz Hansen to reimagine Arne Jacobsen's classic dining chair collection with new colour and verve. Available in 16 statement shades, it's a playful reconfiguration of a classic.
